Waddington Brown is delighted to be partnering with an established, market-leading manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Interim HR Advisor to join a busy and collaborative HR team.
This is a broad generalist role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact, working closely with managers and leaders across the business and providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR support across a varied client base.
Reporting to a Senior HR Manager, you’ll act as a trusted point of contact for your allocated business areas, providing advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, capability and other complex people matters.
- Advising and coaching managers to confidently manage people issues and have effective conversations with their teams.
- Supporting organisational change, including restructures, reorganisations, changes to roles and redundancy consultations.
- Providing practical advice and guidance across HR policies, processes and employment legislation.
- Supporting the delivery of people initiatives and HR projects, taking ownership where appropriate.
- Reviewing HR data and KPIs, identifying trends and working with managers to develop appropriate action plans.
- Supporting the implementation of new HR initiatives, including delivering training and coaching to managers.
- Contributing to people plans and wider HR initiatives that support business performance.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider HR team, sharing best practice and providing support across the business as required.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced generalist HR professional who enjoys being close to the business and is confident dealing with a broad range of people matters.
You’ll have solid experience of employee relations case management and be comfortable supporting managers through sometimes complex and sensitive situations. You’ll also have experience of performance management and ideally organisational change, restructuring or redundancy activity.
Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who can build strong relationships quickly, communicate confidently at all levels and take a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach. You’ll be comfortable working autonomously but equally enjoy being part of a wider HR team.
You’ll need to be organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong IT skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
This is an opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys variety and wants to step into a role where they can make a tangible contribution rather than simply provide transactional HR support.
The role is primarily based on site in Norwich, with some flexibility for nationwide travel to support different areas of the business.
If you’re an experienced HR Advisor looking for an interesting interim opportunity within a well-established and growing organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
