Hours: 40 hours per week (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm)

We're partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business to recruit a HR & Health & Safety Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a standalone HR function while leading Health & Safety compliance across two busy operational sites.
The Role
As the HR & Health & Safety Manager, you will be the go-to person for all people-related matters, supporting managers and employees across the business while ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
Key responsibilities include:
HR
- Managing employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues
- Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers
- Leading recruitment and onboarding activities
- Reviewing and updating policies and procedures in line with employment legislation
- Supporting employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Maintaining HR records and systems
- Driving consistency and best practice across both sites
Health & Safety
- Conducting and reviewing risk assessments
- Managing accident, incident and near-miss reporting
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry standards
- Supporting audits and inspections
- Maintaining H&S documentation and records
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the business
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvements to reduce risk
About You
We're looking for a proactive and confident HR professional who is comfortable operating in a standalone capacity and enjoys building strong working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a standalone HR Manager or HR Generalist role
- Strong employee relations experience
- Experience within manufacturing, production, engineering, FMCG or a similar operational environment
- Practical Health & Safety experience, including risk assessments and compliance
- IOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety training
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach
- A full UK driving licence and access to transport
