About the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee the full HR function and provide professional guidance to managers and senior leaders. This role is ideal for someone who has worked within the not for profit sector and understands the specific challenges, values and regulatory frameworks of charitable organisations.
You will lead on HR operations, employee relations, policy development, recruitment, performance management and staff wellbeing. The role requires strong communication skills, excellent judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities• Lead and manage the HR function, ensuring effective HR operations across all areas
• Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance and staffing matters
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and induction processes
• Maintain and update HR policies, procedures and compliance documentation
• Manage HR systems, records and data reporting
• Support organisational development including training, development and wellbeing initiatives
• Lead on casework including investigations, capability and absence management
• Work closely with senior leaders to support workforce planning and organisational objectives
• Ensure compliance with employment law and sector specific regulations
• Support the development of a positive, inclusive and collaborative working culture
About You• HR management experience within the not for profit sector
• Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
• Confident handling employee relations matters and providing advice to managers
• Experienced in recruitment, training and workforce development
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Able to work with sensitivity and discretion when dealing with confidential matters
• CIPD qualified or working towards this is highly desirable
• Comfortable working in a hybrid pattern with regular attendance in Hammersmith
