Our client, an innovative, global solutions based organisation, now requires a Head of People & Culture, who will have responsibility for delivering a consistent employee experience across the organisation. Your purpose will be to enable the organisation to attract and retain top talent at all levels, whilst ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements at global and local levels.
There will be an element of flexible/ agile working with this role.
The Role:
Reporting to the CEO, as the Head of People & Culture, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- partnering with executive and global senior management teams
- developing a global HR strategy aligned to the overall business strategy, including centralised talent management, strategic workforce planning, performance management, ethics, and culture
- the direct line management of the regional HR Managers, with responsibility for their talent management and development, whilst encouraging effective communication and collaboration
- creating and delivering a centralised global talent acquisition programme aligned to the organisation’s culture and values
- developing robust succession plans for business-critical roles
- awareness and knowledge of both current and new employment legislations and other regulatory requirements, to ensure compliance at global and local levels
- maintaining consistency in company policies whilst adapting to local cultural and legal requirements
- implementing a coherent global performance management programme and standardising training and development programmes for skill alignment and leadership growth
- supporting organisational change initiatives across all regions and departments
- coordinating global benchmarking for salaries and benefits to ensure competitiveness and equity
- developing metrics aligned to business requirements to measure effectiveness of initiatives such as retention and engagement
As Head of People & Culture, you will be required to operate at a strategic level in order to advise, implement and influence at all levels throughout the business.
The Candidate:
Ideally of graduate standard, candidates for the Head of People & Culture role will have preferably worked within a senior business or HR focused discipline and will also have achieved, or be working towards their further CIPD qualifications.
In addition, candidates for the Head of People & Culture role will be required to demonstrate that they have/ are:
- previous work experience in the same or similar HR role, which has provided a strong and expert knowledge of HR principles and business partnering
- previously worked within a complex or multi-national organisation, with engagement with senior stakeholders
- familiarity with employment legislation and differences across a global market
- a proficiency with HRIS systems alongside MS Office tools
Candidates for the Head of People & Culture role should also have:
- proven stakeholder management abilities with strategic thinking skills
- excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible in a challenging environment
- the capability to be a hands-on type individual, who demonstrates initiative with a positive and professional outlook
- the ability to work effectively within a team but also under their own initiative, demonstrating that they are an organised and capable individual, used to multi-tasking and can prioritise their workload in order to meet exacting deadlines
- the ability to be analytical and results driven with a strong commitment to success and excellence
- the capacity to be a strong, capable leader, with the presence to motivate and influence across all levels of the business
This role will also attract a car allowance, bonus and benefits. Candidates should note that there will be some international travel with this role.
