We are supporting a public sector organisation with the appointment of an experienced HR Transformation Partner to support a major organisational transformation programme.
The role will sit within the People function and works closely with a dedicated Transformation team. The post holder will provide senior HR leadership and specialist advice to ensure the people elements of a complex change programme are designed and delivered effectively, compliantly and in line with organisational values.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the people workstream for a large scale transformation programme, advising senior leaders and programme governance groups.
- Design and implement approaches to job design and evaluation, reward and grading alignment, and selection and appointment processes.
- Lead consultation and engagement activity with employees and trade unions.
- Support internal recruitment, redeployment and transition processes.
- Ensure equality impact assessments are embedded across change activity.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to design future operating models, team structures and ways of working.
- Provide high quality workforce data and insight to inform decision making.
- Ensure all people processes are transparent, legally compliant and aligned with equality, diversity and inclusion commitments.
- Work collaboratively with the wider People team to align learning, development and wellbeing support to the change programme.
- Build confidence and capability across HR and line managers to manage change effectively and sensitively.
- Contribute to wider People projects including workforce planning, leadership development and policy improvement as required.
Essential experience:
- Experience of delivering change programmes in the public sector, including working in a trade unionised environment.
- CIPD qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent senior level experience.
- Proven track record as a senior HR or OD professional leading complex organisational change.
- Strong expertise in job design, job evaluation, selection processes and organisational development.
- Excellent understanding of employment law, employee relations and formal consultation frameworks.
- Confident influencing and communication skills, with the ability to advise and challenge senior leaders.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and designing pragmatic, people centred solutions.
