HR Advisor opportunity available on a Fixed Term Contract for 11 months basis to cover maternity leave working for a leading organisation based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This role is available on a part time basis working 3 days 22.5 hours per week.
Purpose of the role:
Support the implementation of the HR Strategy and core areas of the HR department including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Workforce Administration, Employee Engagement, Payroll, Reward and Recognition Primarily leading case work across all areas of the employee life cycle ensuring risk to the business is minimised and appropriate solution is practical and legally compliant.
The role is responsible for supporting the people strategy to build a culture of collaborative working ensuring we build a culture where engagement and employee voice is key. The HR Advisor is responsible for developing the HR database systems to ensure the team are utilising the technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take a leading role in recruitment, onboarding, and retention activities.
- Ensure the processing of all employee administration in a timely and accurate manner. Liaise with the finance department as required.
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of employee files and documentation, undertaking any checks as necessary and in line with GDPR(UK) or any other relevant data protection principles.
- Provide expert coaching and advice to managers within your business area on HR matters including policy, procedures, employment law, employee relations, and organisational values.
- Deliver regular briefings / updates to HR Management and alert to forthcoming issues or trends in developments in employment legislation.
- Produce reports as and when required by management e.g. employee absence and labour turnover.
- Plan, propose and co-ordinate Company social events. All costs must be approved prior to each event.
- Manage your ongoing caseload of employee issues within your identified area of the business; including but not limited to conduct, performance or absence issues. employment legislation and company requirements.
- Undertake any tasks associated with payroll as business needs dictate.
The pro rata salary for this role is circa £21,500 - £24,000 for working 22.5 hours per week
