As Head of Human Resources, working alongside the Director of HR, you will lead and deliver a high-quality HR service across the organisation. You will provide expert HR guidance and support to the Executive Team, Operational Leadership Team, and colleagues at all levels. You will manage and develop a team of five, creating a collaborative, trusted, and people-focused HR function. The role includes building strong relationships across the organisation, providing hands-on support to employees and leaders, and leading key initiatives in recruitment, learning and development, and employee engagement, all aligned with organisational values and strategy
This is a diverse, fast-paced and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Act as a credible and trusted adviser to the Executive Team, providing clear vision, expert insight and guidance on the strategic and operational direction of all Human Resources matters
- Collaborate with the Director of HR to create and deliver an HR strategy centred on clear objectives and initiatives that strengthen capability, engagement and experience across the workforce
- Lead and embed a culture of inclusion and belonging, ensuring all staff feel valued and supported while enhancing the employer brand and driving engagement, retention and attraction of talent
- Provide insightful analysis and reporting on people development, compliance and engagement, enabling leaders to make data-led, strategic decisions
- Embed inclusive and supportive people processes that enable staff to perform at their best, encompassing equality and diversity, talent development, wellbeing and recognition initiatives
- Work closely with payroll to coordinate accurate, compliant and timely monthly payroll submissions
- Support the annual budgeting process, presenting business cases as required
- Support the annual pay review process by providing robust internal and external benchmarking data
Our client is seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of HR to lead and inspire their HR function. Ideally, you will have held a senior HR leadership role within education, health, social care or another people-focused sector. You will bring broad generalist HR expertise and a strong understanding of the business partner model, with proven experience managing and motivating a high-performing HR team. You will drive excellence across recruitment, learning and development, employee relations, engagement and equality, diversity and inclusion. A good working knowledge of employment law, including complex case management, is essential, along with the ability to produce clear, concise, and insightful reports.
You will be a proactive, solutions-oriented leader, confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a track record of successfully executing strategic HR projects. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills are key, as you will work closely with leaders across the organisation to shape and deliver people-focused strategies.
