This is a regional HR Advisor role supporting a large, multi-site workforce. The position focuses on providing day-to-day HR guidance to managers, particularly on employee relations issues such as disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management. It also involves coaching managers, supporting change initiatives (including TUPE), ensuring compliance with UK employment law, and contributing to HR reporting and employee engagement activities to improve overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line HR support to managers on employee relations issues (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance).
- Advise and guide managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support and attend employee relations cases and hearings where required.
- Coach managers to build leadership capability and manage their teams effectively.
- Produce and analyse attendance and HR reports, identifying trends and improvement areas.
- Support monthly HR reporting, ensuring data is accurate and submitted on time.
- Manage and track performance reviews and appraisal cycles (including SuccessFactors).
- Assist with TUPE transfers and contract mobilisations as the first point of contact.
- Support change initiatives, restructures, and implementation of new HR policies.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, UK employment law, GDPR, and internal governance.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in an HR Advisor / HR Generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Hands-on experience managing employee relations (ER) cases.
- Experience with TUPE and organisational change/mobilisation.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to coach and influence managers effectively.
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and HR metrics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Good time management and organisational skills, with ability to handle multiple priorities.
