This is a brilliant opportunity for a resilient, operational HR professional who wants to step up, shape culture, and start leaning into a more strategic role.
You’ll partner closely with the Site Lead and senior leadership team, taking ownership of the site’s people agenda. You’ll lead a small onsite HR team, working collaboratively with the wider regional HR function and central Talent Acquisition team to deliver on both local and wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities of the HR Manager:
- Partner with and coach managers to strengthen people management performance and capability
- Support the senior leadership team in delivering site and group people objectives
- Lead on organisational design, restructures, and workforce planning
- Manage and develop the onsite HR team and oversee the HR budget
- Act as the escalation point for complex ER matters, ensuring best practice and compliance
- Support ACAS conciliation and tribunal preparation
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Trade Unions, leading collective discussions
- Ensure compliance with employment law and ethical standards
- Drive engagement and culture improvement initiatives across site
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role within FMCG, fast paced manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments
- Strong employee relations experience, ideally within unionised settings
- Confident stakeholder partner with the ability to influence and challenge
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Solid understanding of UK employment law
- Resilient, practical, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, challenging environment
