Business Manager
This is a rare opportunity to sit at the centre of a high-performing capital markets business, partnering directly with a senior executive to shape and drive strategy. You’ll play a key role in aligning priorities, unlocking growth, and keeping the business moving at pace.
Role Overview:
- Location: Central London/Hybrid (3 days per week on site).
- Package: £100,000- £130,000pa, Discretionary Annual Bonus & Benefits
- Industry: Capital Markets/Financial Services
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Act as a trusted advisor to a senior executive, helping define and refine strategic direction
- Turn high-level strategy into clear, actionable plans and ensure delivery across teams
- Use structured analysis to support decision-making and solve complex business challenges
- Own performance tracking, delivering insights across revenue, clients, and key KPIs
- Identify commercial opportunities and risks across markets, products, and client segments
- Partner with sales, trading, and product teams to align on market trends and client needs
- Lead cross-functional initiatives including product launches, expansion plans, and process improvements
- Keep key projects on track by removing blockers and maintaining momentum
- Prepare high-quality materials for executive, board, and client discussions
- Act as a central coordination point across senior stakeholders and business units
Main Skills Needed:
- Background in top-tier consulting (MBB or equivalent), with strong problem-solving capability
- Solid experience within capital markets (e.g., FX, derivatives, prime brokerage, institutional trading)
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to link strategy to tangible outcomes
- Advanced analytical skills, including working with complex datasets and financial insights
- Confident communicator, able to influence and engage senior stakeholders
- Experience operating in fast-paced, high-performance environments
- High attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality outputs
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
