Owen Reed is looking for an Early Careers Recruitment Administrator for a top law firm in London.
Role Overview
We are recruiting for an Early Careers Recruitment Administrator to join a busy Early Careers Recruitment (ECR) team within the HR function and wider Business Services team, based in London.
The purpose of the team is to work alongside Early Careers Recruitment partners to attract and recruit aspiring solicitors who will contribute to the continued success of the firm.
The team consists of the Head of Recruitment, Senior Marketing Manager, Operations Manager, two Advisers, an Executive, two Assistants, and two Administrators. The successful candidate will report into the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role are shared between the two Administrators and may include additional duties as required.
Please note, occasional work outside normal hours (9:30am – 5:30pm) may be required, particularly during peak interview periods and event seasons.
Applications
- Review and process high volumes of Training Contract, Work Experience, and Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme (SAP) applications via the online application system.
- Maintain the online application system accurately and efficiently, including:
- Updating candidate records
- Communicating application outcomes
- Managing the online interview scheduling tool
- Manage two shared ECR mailboxes and respond promptly to queries by email and telephone.
Interviews
- Coordinate high-volume interviews across Training Contracts, Work Experience and SAP programmes.
- Support the smooth running of the interview process, including:
- Liaising with EAs to identify interviewers
- Maintaining interview tracking spreadsheets
- Coordinating with room bookings teams
- Creating and managing calendar invitations
- Meet interview candidates and assist with setting up written exercises.
Marketing Campaign and Recruitment Events
- Assist with administration of the annual ECR marketing campaign, including:
- Arranging promotional activity and email communications
- Coordinating logistics for recruitment events
- Supporting university society sponsorship administration
- Manage administration of the university prizes process.
- Support the organisation and administration of work experience opportunities.
- Process invoices and student travel expenses.
Future Trainees
- Review and check future trainees’ certificates and transcripts.
Additional Support
- Assist with other tasks and projects to support the team as required.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally degree educated, or equivalent experience within a professional services environment.
- Minimum Grade 5 or 6 in GCSE English (or equivalent).
- Interest in working within HR / Recruitment.
