People Transformation Lead – Consulting (Senior HR Business Partner)
Location: Birmingham or Manchester
Salary: £100k + Bonus + Benefits

We are partnering with a global professional services firm as it enters a pivotal stage of growth and transformation within its Consulting business.
With an ambitious long-term strategy and a rapidly evolving workforce, the organisation is reshaping its operating model, capabilities and ways of working. To support this next phase, a new role has been created within the People function: People Transformation Lead – Consulting.
This is not a traditional HR Business Partner role.
It is a delivery-led, project-driven position focused on turning people strategy into tangible outcomes, driving large-scale workforce and organisational transformation in close partnership with senior Consulting leaders.
The Role
You will take ownership of delivering key people and workforce initiatives that underpin Consulting’s strategic ambitions.
Acting as the engine behind transformation, you will bring structure, pace and accountability to complex programmes, ensuring ideas translate into real, measurable change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of workforce and people transformation initiatives
- Translate strategic priorities into clear, executable plans
- Act as a programme lead across multiple, cross-functional people projects
- Drive coordination across specialist teams (Talent, Reward, Resourcing, Development, etc.)
- Ensure prioritisation, governance and delivery discipline across initiatives
- Manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges proactively
- Provide clear, insight-led updates to senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation or change programmes
- Strong project or programme management capability
- Experience working within a consulting or professional services environment
- Ability to translate strategy into practical delivery
- Strong commercial awareness, linking people decisions to business outcomes
- Confidence influencing and aligning senior stakeholders
- A delivery mindset, focused on execution and outcomes
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) is required; Chartered status is desirable
