This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced People Advisor who is passionate about people, inclusion, and purpose-led work. This role could also suit a People Manager / People Business Partner / ER Advisor looking for an Advisory role.
The Role
As the People Advisor, you will provide high-quality, pragmatic HR advice and support across the organisation.
Working closely with People Partners, you will support managers and colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring policies, processes, and practices align with organisational values and employment legislation.
The role offers exposure to a broad generalist remit and the opportunity to contribute to strategic people initiatives that enhance engagement, wellbeing, and organisational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting sickness management
- First level support with employee relations
- Probation management
- Performance management
- Provide expert advice on HR policies, employee relations, performance, and absence management
- Oversee complex onboarding and probation management scenarios
- Maintain and update our HR Information System (HRIS), payroll documents, and reporting dashboards
- Support the management of employee lifecycle activities such as probation, flexible working, family-friendly policies and off-boarding
- Support People Partners with Employee Relations matters
Requirements:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in a generalist HR advisory role
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong IT skills, including HR systems and Microsoft Office
