Description
- Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic HR advice aligned with organisational objectives.
- Lead organisational design, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives.
- Support organisational change, restructures, and consultation processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
- Manage complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, and performance matters.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with employment law and organisational needs.
- Build effective relationships with trade unions and lead consultation and negotiation activities where required.
- Analyse workforce data and HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Drive improvements across people processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organisation.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver key HR projects and organisational priorities.
Profile
A successful Senior HR Business Partner should have:
- Proven experience in a strategic HR role within the public sector or another large, complex, unionised organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Experience in workforce planning, organisational design, and change management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- A recognised CIPD qualification (Level 7 or equivalent) or significant relevant HR experience.
