HR Advisor (6-Month Temporary Contract)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-established organisation in the Renfrewshire area on a temporary contract for up to six months. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with a strong background in Employee Relations and Recruitment who can quickly become a valued part of the team and provide immediate support.
Working within a busy and collaborative HR function, you will provide operational HR support across a range of employee matters, partnering with managers and stakeholders to deliver practical, commercially focused advice and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a range of Employee Relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management matters.
- Advising managers on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
- Supporting investigations, hearings and formal HR processes.
- Managing recruitment activity from vacancy approval through to onboarding.
- Supporting hiring managers with candidate attraction, selection and interviewing.
- Assisting with onboarding and employee lifecycle administration.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Producing HR reports and management information as required.
- Supporting ongoing HR projects and initiatives.
- Using Sage People to maintain employee data and HR records.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR position.
- Strong Employee Relations experience and confidence managing cases independently.
- Recruitment experience across the full employee lifecycle.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Experience working with HR systems, ideally Sage People.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD membership would be advantageous.
