As L&D Manager for Programmes and Development, you will partner with the Head of L&D to shape and maintain a comprehensive suite of learning opportunities and compliance programmes. You will lead the Programmes and Development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality skills training and development solutions for all staff groups, including legal professionals, business services, and support teams.
This is a practical, hands-on position involving training needs analysis, programme design and facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key role in ensuring learning aligns with organisational priorities and supports individual career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Programmes and Development team, fostering growth and high performance.
- Design and deliver targeted skills-based learning interventions where required.
- Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers across multiple locations.
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders to create scalable, innovative learning solutions that strengthen organisational capability.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, embedding experiential and peer learning into everyday practice.
- Maintain and enhance core development programmes, introducing new delivery methods, technologies, and approaches.
- Facilitate impactful workshops and provide consultancy support to internal teams as needed.
- Oversee procurement of external learning solutions, ensuring effective contract management and quality standards.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Business, HR, Law, or equivalent experience.
- CIPD qualification or similar professional L&D certification.
- Accreditation in behavioural profiling tools (e.g., DiSC, Insights).
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Proven success in a multi-site L&D role with strong operational focus.
- In-depth knowledge of L&D best practices and emerging trends.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Strong analytical capability to interpret data and use insights to shape learning strategies.
