HR Manager opportunity for a leading manufacturing company based in North Leeds, West Yorkshire. This role is based at their North Leeds office and working one day from home.
The role of HR Manager is to lead and oversee the HR function for the group company and ensure compliance with employment law. This role is a generalist HR position focusing on both the strategic and operational aspects to support managers with the employee lifecycle and to develop and deliver the people strategy to support business growth. This role will also have the responsibility of an Office Manager that supports facilities management and is responsible for the reception desk and also supports you with the hands-on administration.
The role:
- Manage and develop the effective delivery of all people policies, processes and administration for the HR function.
- Lead and support managers on all Employee Relations issues and advise on compliance & risk management issues. This includes disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance, probation and redundancy.
- Lead and project manage the implementation of HR projects and initiatives to embed best practices, drive employee engagement and positively affect business performance.
- Develop best practice recruitment and selection activities through to induction.
- Improve management capabilities through internal training and coaching creating training toolboxes.
- Collate and report on monthly HR Management Information and KPI’s.
- Assist with the processing of monthly payroll, answer any queries and generate various payroll reports.
- Any other reasonable duties which are required.
Experience required:
- CIPD accreditation, preferably level 7
- Strong understanding of employment law
- Proficiency in MS Excel & Word
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in Investors in People
- Experience in organisational change management
Benefits include:
- Salary £50,000-£60,000 DOE
- Regular working hours of 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday, on a two-week rotation, with every other Friday off
- 4 days working in the office and 1 day working from home
