We’re delighted to be partnering with a fantastic On-Line subscription business that’s looking to appoint a Head of People.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role, ideal for an experienced Head of People who thrives in a small, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
You’ll play a key part in shaping and scaling the company’s people operations, building the culture, processes, and initiatives that will support the business through its next exciting stage of growth
Responsibilities
- Lead the people function, setting the HR strategy in line with business goals.
- Partner closely with founders and senior leaders to build a high-performing, values-driven culture.
- Support line managers with coaching, performance management, and people development.
- Develop and refine people policies, ensuring compliance and best practice.
- Drive engagement, wellbeing, and diversity initiatives that bring the company’s culture to life.
- Lead and mentor a People Advisor (and grow the team as the business scales).
Experience Needed
- Proven experience in a generalist or Head of People role within a start-up, scale-up, online, retail, or subscription-based business.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
- Experience managing or mentoring HR team members.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance people's priorities and business goals.
- Passion for people analytics, engagement surveys, or employer branding.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or 7) or equivalent experience.
