Resourcing4HR is partnering with a well-established professional services organisation to recruit an HR Generalist to join their small, supportive HR team.
This is a hands-on, operational HR role supporting a workforce of around 125 employees. Working closely with the Head of HR, you will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of HR, supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
As is often the case within smaller HR teams, this role offers variety beyond a rigid job description. It will suit someone who is open-minded, flexible and comfortable getting involved in a broad range of HR and administrative activities, with the opportunity to grow and develop over time.
Key responsibilities
The role will include, but will not be limited to:
- Supporting recruitment processes, including arranging interviews and liaising with hiring managers
- Coordinating onboarding activity, including references, right-to-work checks, contracts and inductions
- Preparing employment contracts, variations and general HR documentation
- Acting as a first point of contact for routine HR queries
- Maintaining accurate employee records and updating the HR system
- Supporting absence management processes, including return-to-work meetings
- Updating HR policies, templates and documentation
- Assisting with wider HR tasks such as research, archiving and ad hoc projects, as required
About you
This role would suit an experienced HR Generalist who enjoys working in a small team environment and values variety in their role.
You are likely to bring:
- Experience in a hands-on HR support or generalist role
- Strong HR administration skills with excellent attention to detail
- A good understanding of HR processes and UK employment law
- Confidence working with contracts, onboarding and HR systems
- A flexible, practical approach and willingness to get involved beyond a defined job remit
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
- CIPD Level 5 would be advantageous
