Role: HR Advisor 8 month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Sheffield city centre / Hybrid home working
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 DOE
HR Advisor opportunity available working for a leading Law firm based in Sheffield city centre to join my clients Human Resources team on an 8-month fixed-term contract basis. You will be supporting the delivery of a high-quality, responsive HR business partnering service across their firm.
About the Role
- You’ll provide proactive, timely, and high-quality generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle, working closely with managers and stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing generalist HR support across performance management, family leave, secondments, flexible working, absence management, and wellbeing
- Supporting employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues
- Coaching and guiding line managers on people topics such as engagement, talent management, succession planning, and performance management
- Supporting cyclical HR activities including performance reviews, budget planning, and the annual reward cycle
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider HR function to drive continuous improvement, including policy and process development
- Supporting the delivery of people projects and ad-hoc initiatives as required
About You
We’re looking for someone with a strong generalist HR background who can operate confidently in a fast-paced environment.
Key requirements:
- Strong, up-to-date generalist HR knowledge with the ability to manage a broad range of employment issues.
- Confident and effective stakeholder management skills.
- A commercial approach with sound judgement, strong analytical capability, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrable partnering skills, including coaching and influencing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate HR best practice into practical advice.
- Flexible and adaptable mindset, able to navigate change and take others with you.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
