The role of ER Manager is a leadership role overseeing and being hands-on regarding the quality handling of employee relations cases from start to resolution. Through expert, pragmatic advice, you will support the business in applying UK employment law compliantly and commercially across Head Office, branches and DC environments.

The roles and responsibilities of this ER Case Manager role:
- Lead and manage a team of ER Advisors, promoting a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Oversee end-to-end employee relations case management, partnering with PlHR Business Partners to deliver timely, compliant outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing clear, commercially sound guidance aligned with UK employment law and company policy.
- Ensure consistent, efficient case management through effective tools, workload allocation, and system reporting.
- Analyse case trends to drive proactive interventions and continuous improvement, working closely with People Operations.
To be successful in this ER Case Manager role:
- Ideally having 3- 5 years' +experience in employee relations management role
- In-depth understanding of employment law and HR best practice
- That you have led a direct report or small team
- Hr generalists would be considered if worked with a high % of ER cases
- Proven ability to handle complex and sensitive employee matters with confidence and sound judgement
- Experience leading, motivating, and developing high-performing teams
- CIPD qualification at Level 5 or above (desirable)
- If worked in a central support function this would be highly desirable
- Excellent written communication skills
