Senior HR Advisor – Contract 12 months £Competitive + Benefits

An aerospace leader is urgently seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a pivotal, hands-on role providing high-quality, operational HR support across dual locations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the HR Business Partners to harmonise HR practices, while facilitating the successful integration of two regional HR functions into a cohesive, high-performing HR team.
The role requires a confident HR professional with strong employee relations experience, sound judgement, and the ability to operate effectively within a regulated, complex, and fast-paced environment.
Main location upper west midlands but travel required to a site more centrally based in the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, professional HR advisory support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, absence management, and exits
- Act as a trusted advisor to line managers, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation
- Support HR Business Partners in aligning and harmonising HR processes and practices across regional teams
- Manage and support a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, capability, and absence management, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes
- Ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with company policy, legal requirements, & values
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times
- Utilise HR systems (e.g.Workday) to maintain data, generate reports, and support HR metrics and analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency
- Build strong working relationships across multiple sites and stakeholders
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and HR governance activities as required
Qualifications/Experience
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards), or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Proven experience supporting and/or managing a broad range of employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust at all levels of the organisation
- Highly proficient in using HR data and systems to maintain accurate records and produce HR reports and metrics (e.g. Workday)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Willingness and flexibility to work across two locations
- Experience in a generalist HR role within a fast-paced, global, matrixed organisation
- Exposure to organisational change, integration, or transformation activities
- Strong stakeholder management skills within complex organisational structures
