Join our team as an HSE & Facility Manager, where you will report directly to the Human Resources Manager. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities while leading our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives. Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Define, implement, and promote the site’s HSE policy in compliance with current regulations and organisational standards.
- Lead and coordinate HSE teams, fostering employee engagement and ensuring the development of team members.
- Drive HSE performance indicators and regularly report to management on progress and performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external HSE rules and regulations.
- Manage and oversee facility operations including maintenance, repairs, and planning for future needs.
- Conduct risk assessments, manage incident responses, and ensure continuous improvement in safety and environmental standards.
- Lead the implementation and management of the HSE management system, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
- Coordinate training and awareness programs to reinforce HSE culture across the organisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent technical school degree.
- Demonstrable experience in HSE roles, with strong stakeholder and project management skills.
- Proficiency in risk analysis tools and methods such as FMEA and fault tree analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of construction and building systems repair/maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple complex priorities.
- Flexibility to adapt working hours as necessary, including occasional weekend or night attendance.
Additional Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience in an aerospace or aircraft manufacturing facility.
- Experience with large-scale project management, including facility remodels or transformations.
- Familiarity with UK environmental regulations and compliance best practices.
