Macildowie are working on an exclusive basis with this client based in Leicester, operating in the manufacturing industry, to recruit an Engagement Specialist to join their People Team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about internal communications, employee engagement and creating a positive workplace culture. You will be responsible for delivering meaningful communication across all levels, organising engaging events, and leading social and charity activity throughout the year.From producing newsletters and managing internal briefs, to shaping CSR initiatives and recognition programmes, this role offers true ownership of the engagement and communications strategy on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a site-wide engagement and events calendar
- Own internal communication channels including newsletters, site briefs and visual media
- Lead CSR, charity and volunteering events through a structured committee
- Manage employee recognition initiatives and celebration days
- Support project rollouts through effective communication planning
- Ensure regular, inclusive messaging across varied formats including email, posters and LinkedIn
Experience Required:
- Internal communications experience is essential
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with multiple communication platforms (newsletters, intranet, social media)
- Comfortable being present and visible on the shop floor, not just office-based
- Event planning experience is desirable
