The opportunity;Our client within the food manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Recruitment & Onboarding Manager to lead and embed a best-in-class talent acquisition framework across their UK business.This is a senior, high-impact role within the People Leadership Team, responsible for delivering an efficient, commercially driven recruitment and onboarding strategy across multiple UK manufacturing sites. You’ll lead a small specialist team, partner closely with senior leaders, and play a key role in ensuring our client attracts, hires and onboards the right talent to support a fast-paced, seasonal FMCG environment.
Key responsibilities:Recruitment, Attraction & Onboarding- Lead a scalable recruitment strategy aligned to business needs, seasonal demand and workforce planning across multiple sites.
- Deliver high-volume hiring campaigns, building strong talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
- Strengthen employer brand through targeted attraction campaigns, digital channels and community partnerships.
- Embed consistent, compliant and competency-based selection processes, aligned to behaviours.
- Design and deliver an effective end-to-end onboarding experience, tracking impact through retention and engagement metrics.
Process, Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement- Continuously improve recruitment and onboarding processes, optimising technology and data to drive performance (e.g. time to hire, cost per hire, offer acceptance).
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing recruitment team, role-modelling best practice and company values.
- Partner with senior leaders and HR teams as a trusted advisor, providing insight and reporting on hiring strategy and workforce challenges.
About you;You’re an experienced recruitment leader who thrives in FMCG or high-volume operational environments. You combine commercial thinking with a hands-on approach and enjoy building scalable solutions in complex, multi-site organisations.You’re confident influencing senior stakeholders, comfortable with data, and passionate about delivering a strong candidate and hiring manager experience.
Experience & skillsEssential;
- Significant recruitment leadership experience in high-volume environments (e.g. FMCG, logistics, manufacturing)
- Proven delivery of large-scale and strategic recruitment campaigns
- Strong knowledge of recruitment compliance and UK employment law
- Experience designing effective onboarding programmes
- Track record of leading and developing teams
- Data-led approach with strong analytical capability
Desirable- Food manufacturing experience
- ATS implementation experience
- CIPD (or equivalent) qualification
- Multi-site experience
