HR Operations Manager – Talent Acquisition, Learning & Performance!
I'm looking for an experienced HR Operations Manager to lead the delivery of Talent Acquisition (experienced hire), Learning & Development, and Performance Management services across a complex, professional environment.
In this pivotal role, you’ll manage a team of around 12 HR professionals across Talent Acquisition and Employee Learning Services, ensuring consistent, high-quality operational delivery. You’ll oversee firm-wide initiatives, annual performance cycles, and the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and employee experience.
This is a senior operational leadership position, working closely with Centres of Excellence, HR Business Partners, senior stakeholders and external providers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring HR services are commercially focused, responsive to business priorities and compliant with best practice.
Key responsibilities
Talent Acquisition, Learning & Performance Delivery
- Lead the delivery of experienced-hire Talent Acquisition services, ensuring they are efficient, seamless and fully compliant.
- Oversee Learning & Development programmes, ensuring they align with business objectives and evolving employee needs.
- Support the end-to-end operational delivery of the annual performance review cycle.
- Monitor service performance across Talent Acquisition, Learning and Performance, driving continuous improvement in quality and consistency.
Systems, Technology & Continuous Improvement
- Champion the ongoing development and optimisation of Workday and associated HR technologies, including the effective use of AI and automation.
- Ensure system changes are well designed, thoroughly tested and enhance the overall employee and manager experience.
- Use data, insights and metrics to assess service effectiveness and inform decision-making and improvements.
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Work in close partnership with Centres of Excellence to ensure joined-up, aligned service delivery.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to ensure services meet local and functional needs.
- Manage third-party providers, holding them to account against agreed service standards.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing issues proactively.
- Ensure employee and line manager queries are handled effectively, with themes and trends identified and acted upon.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience leading HR operational services, ideally across Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and/or Performance Management.
- Strong, credible people leadership skills, with experience managing teams in complex or matrixed environments.
- Hands-on experience working with Workday (or comparable HR systems) and driving improvement through technology and data.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence working across functions and with external partners.
- A continuous improvement mindset, using insight, feedback and metrics to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
- Solid knowledge of employment legislation, HR policy and best practice.
