Reed HR have partnered with a fantastic company who are seeking a dedicated HR Advisor/Generalist to join the Human Resources team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a supportive and approachable HR department, providing information, advice, and guidance to all colleagues, managers, and senior leadership team members. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, culture, and wellbeing throughout the organisation while ensuring compliance with UK Employment Law and legislation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage employee relations (ER) cases and HR project assignments.
- Ensure compliance and maintain internal HR, Training, and Document Controlled systems.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across all HR functions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for initial HR queries, maintaining high standards of service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Take minutes in formal meetings and provide support in the facilitation and coordination of Colleague Forums.
- Offer information, advice, and guidance to the management team.
- Conduct internal audits and support with external audits.
- Occasionally chair Colleague Forum meetings in the absence of the HR Manager.
- Undertake research on relevant topics and apply the information gained to project work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR, including handling a variety of ER cases.
- Proven experience in minute taking within formal meetings and leading on IAG provided to senior leadership team members.
- Strong understanding of UK Employment Law and legislation.
- Excellent attention to detail with a self-driven approach and an awareness of urgency.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Approachable and supportive attitude, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- GCSE grade 5 / C or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and PowerPoint, and familiar with HRIS.
- Understanding of GDPR and confidentiality.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification is ideal, but extensive experience in a similar role is highly valued.
