This isn't a typical HR Business Partner role!
A successful business in Hemel Hempstead is looking to bring on a HRBP on a permanent basis. The company offer flexible start and finish times and will also consider someone looking for 4 days a week should this be of interest to someone seeking a new role.
Following a recent acquisition, the HRBP will be partnering with two very different business cultures.
Success in this role will come from your ability to adapt your approach, build credibility with both audiences and understand what motivates each group. You'll know when to challenge, when to coach and when to educate, tailoring your style to bring people with you.
You'll also play a key role in integrating a newly acquired business that has never had an in-house HR function. This means introducing HR best practice, establishing trusted relationships and helping managers understand processes and employment legislation in a pragmatic, commercially minded way. It will require resilience, patience, credibility and the confidence to influence people.
If you enjoy bringing structure to evolving businesses, navigating different personalities and helping leaders through change, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders to understand business objectives and deliver effective people solutions
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and restructuring cases
- Support the delivery of the people strategy and contribute to wider business objectives

- Lead and support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and transformation projects
- Coach and influence managers to develop leadership capability and drive best practice
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain compliant and aligned with employment legislation
- Promote employee engagement, retention and performance improvement initiatives
About You:
You'll be an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and adapting your style to suit different personalities and business functions.
Required experience:
- Experience partnering with both commercial and operational teams, adapting your approach to engage different audiences.
- Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to influence, coach and build trust at all levels.

- The resilience and patience to embed HR best practice in environments where processes are still evolving.
