Your new companyWe are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join a HR team within the Central Government sector. This role is pivotal in providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while supporting organisational performance.Your new role
- Expert ER Advice: Provide professional guidance across all employee relations issues, including conduct, performance, grievance, and absence management.
- Case Management: Drive progress on ER casework with a delivery-focused mindset, ensuring processes and systems are in place to meet key milestones and maintain momentum.
- Investigations & Hearings: Manage formal investigations and hearings, ensuring procedural rigour and fairness throughout.
- Problem Solving: Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions, supporting managers and employees to make informed decisions on next steps.
- Performance Support: Partner with HR Business Partners to enhance organisational performance by advising on employee plans and helping set clear, realistic, and measurable objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in employee relations within a complex organisation (public sector experience desirable).
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Experience in driving process improvements within HR and recruitment practices.
