Role Overview
The DEI Specialist will report directly to People Director. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to, drive, and support positive DEI initiatives across the business.
- Scope, source, and implement inclusion programs, events, and activities.
- Promote change with a focus on both visible and invisible diversity.
- Act as the subject matter expert, supporting the development and revision of company policies to reinforce DEI.
- Develop and conduct internal awareness and training sessions.
- Oversee and assess the effectiveness of employee networks.
- Create DEI related communications and newsletters.
- Analyse DEI data and report findings back to the business.
- Compile and maintain accurate records.
- Foster and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.
- Proven experience in a DEI-focused role (open to candidates ready to step up into the position).
- Comprehensive understanding of DEI complexities and ability to translate this into practical actions.
- Skilled in delivering impactful training sessions across the UK and Europe, DEI-specific content.
- Experience creating engaging content and resources to support DEI initiatives.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex environment, managing ambiguity and changing circumstances.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage relationships across a wide stakeholder network, including working collaboratively within a broader HR team.
- Analytical skills to identify trends, issues, and opportunities in DEI and provide actionable recommendations.
- Events coordination experience would be advantageous.
- Approachable, positive role model with a team-player attitude.
- Innovative thinker with a proactive, can-do approach to problem-solving and implementing new ideas.
