Exciting permanent opportunity for an HR Advisor to join a professional services firm at their Edinburgh office.
This role will suit an HR Advisor with strong Employee Relations experience who is also happy to travel to the company's offices in Leeds and Manchester once or twice every 3 months.
Salary: £42,000 + fantastic benefits and 25 days holiday.
Location: Edinburgh, stunning offices!
Hybrid based: 2 days working in the office. Hours 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
HR Advisor duties:
- Responsible for any ER/Employee Relations issues that arise, advising and guiding line managers on good and fair practise.
- Be the first point of contact for any HR issues.
- Be involved in projects, contributing to initiatives and working closely with other members of HR team.
- Working closely with the People Operation Manager and providing support to their team.
- Responsible for analysing and presenting data e.g. monthly MI reporting, engagement survey results, exit interviews, leavers and sickness analysis.
- Working closely with the Head of People Operations to review current processes to check for quality of outputs and value delivered by the People Operations team.
- Working closely with the TML to support the Partners and leaders within the firm. and where required and appropriate, lead certain projects and initiatives.
- Sharing existing knowledge to help with any suggestions, changes and updates to processes, policies and systems.
The successful HR Advisor candidate will:
- Have previous HR Advisor experience within professional services - law firm, accountants, management consultancy etc.
- Have strong Employee Relations experience.
- Be happy to travel to the firm's office in Manchester and Leeds once or twice every three months.
- Have an HR degree or CIPD.
- Have a good understanding of HR processes and UK employment law.
- Be confident analysing and presenting data and have prepared reports.
- Be happy to collaborate across the People Operations and the wider People Experience teams and understand this is key to the success to this role.
- Be confident to use their judgement and experience to tackle issues and seek advice on more complex problems.
- Be great team player happy to work collaboratively to drive success.
- Have produced report in their previous role.
- Be proactive with excellent organisational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and process-driven mindset.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills confident liaising at all levels of the business and be able to build strong working relationships.
- Strong MS Office skills to include being confident using Excel.
