Reed are working on an exclusive basis with an international aviation organisation with a strong and growing presence in the UK is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join their Edinburgh-based operation. This is a pivotal role supporting a workforce of 200+ employees and acting as a key link between the UK business and the Group HQ.

As HR Manager, you will play a central role in supporting the UK Managing Director and working closely with the HR function based in Italy. You will oversee all HR operations for the UK business, ensuring a positive, compliant, and engaged working environment.
Key Responsibilities

Partnering closely with the UK Managing Director and Group Director HR (Rome HQ) to deliver HR strategy and operational support.

Managing a wide range of Employee Relations matters for a workforce of 200+, including disciplinary hearings, grievances, investigations, and confidential employee support.

Driving a positive working culture and leading employee engagement initiatives.

Implementing and maintaining HR policies and procedures in line with legislative updates.

Introducing and embedding a Staff Engagement Committee, acting as a key stakeholder in its development and success.

Overseeing multiple TUPE processes, including employee mapping, identifying organisational measures, coordinating with legal advisors, consulting with affected staff, and serving as the main point of contact.

Liaising with internal representation groups across a broad range of topics.

Preparing communication plans, project timelines, and structured updates for stakeholders.

Using Excel for reporting, cost modelling, and total labour cost analysis.

Collaborating with the HR team at the Italian HQ and supporting the UK HR Administrator and local Planning & Resources Manager.

Providing line management to a team of 4–5 direct reports.

Maintaining a strong on-site presence and building relationships with employees at all levels.

Visiting UK sites (2–3 days per month) to ensure consistent HR support across locations.

Overseeing all UK HR functions, including management of the subcontracted payroll provider.

Requirements

CIPD Level 7 (preferred).

Experience supporting a workforce of 70+ employees.

Experience working with European stakeholders (preferred).

Willingness and ability to travel within the UK (2 days per month).
