HR Specialist - ER
3-Month Contract | £350 per day (Inside IR35)Edinburgh | Onsite 2 days per week
We are looking for a confident and experienced Interim HR Specialist to provide critical Employee Relations support during a period of organisational change. This role will suit someone who can operate with autonomy, pace, and sound judgement in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end management of complex ER cases - providing expert advice to line managers, coordinating formal meetings, taking accurate notes, drafting and issuing letters, and ensuring all activity is timely, compliant, and aligned to policy and employment law.
- Policy review and updates - reviewing, refreshing, and improving people policies with clarity and confidence.
- Development of ER documentation - creating a suite of template letters and checklists across areas such as flexible working requests, capability, and long-term absence.
- Capability building for managers - coaching and upskilling people managers to handle ER matters more effectively and confidently.
- Flexible interim support - providing additional capacity to maintain momentum and continuity during a business-critical phase.
