Reward Manager
Manufacturing | Leicester (Hybrid)Competitive salary + car allowance + bonusPermanent or Interim (3-5 months)
We're supporting a well-established manufacturing organisation to appoint a Reward Manager into a newly created role within their People function.
This is a sole-charge reward position, offering the opportunity to bring structure, rigour, and insight to reward across a large, multi-site workforce. The role is available on either a permanent basis or as an interim assignment (3-5 months), depending on candidate preference.
The Role
Reporting into the Group People Director, you'll act as the organisation's reward subject-matter expert, with a strong focus on pay, bonus, incentives, governance, and compliance. This role is less about benefits administration and more about data, risk, and insight.
Key priorities include:
- Leading pay review and bonus cycles
- Job evaluation, benchmarking, and pay structure analysis
- National Minimum Wage compliance and audit readiness
- Equal pay, fair pay, and pay transparency preparation
- Consolidating and analysing complex reward data across multiple sites
- Identifying emerging legislative and reward risks and translating them into actionable insight
You'll work closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, and senior stakeholders, but this is very much a hands-on, analytical role rather than a presentation-heavy or purely strategic position.
About You
You're likely to be a Reward Manager, Senior Reward Analyst, or a strong number two in a larger reward team, ready to step into a broader, standalone role.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience in reward within a complex environment
- Strong technical knowledge of pay, job evaluation, benchmarking, and compliance
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capability
- Confidence operating independently, with strong attention to detail
- Curiosity about reward trends and legislation, with the ability to flag and assess risk
- Private-sector experience is essential.
Location & Flexibility
- Hybrid working with a base in Leicester
- Typically 2-3 days on site, flexing with business need
- Some travel to sites nationally
Package
- Competitive salary
- Car allowance
- Bonus
- Flexible working
- Interim option available (3-5 months)
