Organisational Development Manager

Bury Council are seeking an Organisational Development Manager to lead the development and implementation of a management development programme and support the organisational elements of our newly launched People Strategy. This role is crucial for enhancing our leadership development, culture, and overall employee engagement.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Commence and oversee the delivery of core modules for the management development programme.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop additional content that aligns with organisational needs.
- Ensure the delivery of content is synchronised with the annual cycle of activities.
- Develop and implement a leadership and development programme, including 360 feedback and coaching.
- Support the development of various OD elements within the People Strategy, such as team development, apprenticeships, staff surveys, and a comprehensive wellbeing strategy.
- Address feedback from pulse surveys, particularly concerns regarding the lack of 360 feedback in reviews.
- Work with the training officer to ensure that all training is current and identify any gaps in employee training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Organisational Development, particularly in leadership and management development.
- Strong understanding of employee engagement strategies and how to implement them effectively.
- Experience in developing and implementing wellbeing strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including SMEs and training officers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving organisational change.
