We partner with UMG UK to support their contingent hiring processes. Acting as an extension of their Talent Acquisition Team, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed.
On behalf of UMG, we are looking for a HR Advisor for a 3 Month Day Rate Contract based in London. Please note this is a hybrid working model, 4 days in office, 1 day working from home.
How we LEAD:
The HR Advisor role is pivotal in providing expert HR advice and guidance, managing employee relations, absence and parental leave processes, and supporting occupational health and wellbeing in line with UK employment law.
How you'll CREATE:
- Act as the first point of contact for employee and manager queries on HR policies, contracts, benefits and procedures.
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues (including grievances, disciplinaries, performance management and absence management), working with the Line Manager and Employment Legal team as required.
- Support probation reviews, right-to-work/visa checks, PIPs, exit interviews and related reporting, identifying trends and proposing retention actions.
- Manage sickness absence processes, advising managers on best practice, monitoring compliance, and producing absence reports where required.
- Coordinate occupational health referrals, reasonable adjustments, and insurer requirements, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-through.
- Support and coordinate wellbeing initiatives in partnership with the Adviser group, Benefits Analyst, senior stakeholders and forums.
- Manage family-related policies and queries, including parental leave and statutory pay, guiding employees and managers through processes.
- Administer flexible working applications, including meetings, trial periods and reviews.
- Participate in day 1 and week 1 onboarding alongside Learning & Organisational Development.
- Maintain up-to-date HR knowledge, policies and PIC SharePoint content.
- Provide guidance on reward and benefits in partnership with the Reward team, supporting benchmarking and annual salary review processes.
- Support organisational change activities, including restructures, and promote engagement during periods of change.
- Ensure accurate HR data management, raise system tickets as required, and contribute to HR metrics and reporting for leadership teams.
- Complete PIC Partners Uniport processing, project work, and additional duties as directed by the Line Manager or senior leaders.
Bring your VIBE:
- HR advisory experience in a UK based role.
- Foundational understanding of UK employment law, including absence management, parental leave rights, equal opportunities, and data protection.
- Experience in managing parental leave queries, including maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave.
- Proven experience in managing absence and liaising with occupational health services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with employees and managers.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, especially in resolving employee relations and absence management issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising the need for excellent attention to detail.
- High level of emotional intelligence and empathy; Integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-moving environment.
