We are partnering with a fast-paced manufacturing business to appoint a credible and experienced Head of HR to lead site-wide HR and payroll activity.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role where HR is central to operational performance. Working closely with managers at all levels, you will shape engagement, performance and an inclusive, high-performing culture. The role suits an HR leader who enjoys being on the floor, supporting real-time people decisions in a dynamic environment.
The Role
Reporting into site leadership, you will lead the full employee lifecycle and act as a trusted advisor across the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing pragmatic HR support and advice to leaders at all levels
- Owning all employee relations activity, including complex cases
- Coaching and challenging managers to build strong people leadership
- Driving employee engagement and embedding company values
- Leading policy development and ensuring legal compliance
- Delivering people development, talent and succession initiatives
- Using HR data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
- Leading change initiatives and people-related projects
- Managing and developing the HR and payroll team, ensuring accurate payroll delivery
You will be a visible site presence, ensuring HR adds real value to day-to-day operations.
About You
You will be a resilient, values-led HR professional with:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced operational HR role (manufacturing/FMCG preferred)
- Experience in an owner-led environment
- Strong employee relations expertise
- The confidence to influence at all levels
- Excellent organisation, communication and IT skills
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) – desirable
- Experience with visa sponsorships and the SMETA framework
