Location: Bristol (Hybrid – 1–2 days in the office per week)

Salary: £55,000–£60,000 per annum + bonus

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of People & Culture to join a fast-growing SME. This is a strategic and hands-on position where you’ll lead the people agenda and shape the culture within a dynamic, purpose-driven business. You’ll report to the senior leadership team and have autonomy to design frameworks, strengthen manager capability, and influence how the organisation grows and works together.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee people strategy, employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, succession planning, and development initiatives.
Act as a trusted partner to managers, providing clear, pragmatic advice on hiring, performance, wellbeing, and exits.
Design and embed effective people frameworks, including performance reviews, probation processes, and feedback tools.
Lead strategic projects such as:
Compensation strategy review across multiple countries.
Rollout of a goal-setting framework for employee development.
Structural review and expansion planning.
Take ownership of global compliance, ensuring fairness and consistency across multiple jurisdictions.
Champion values and strengthen belonging through everyday leadership practices.

What We’re Looking For

CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience).
Strong HR advisory or HR business partner background.
Experience designing and implementing people frameworks.
In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and compliance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for creating inclusive, purpose-led workplaces.
