HR Advisor, Bristol£40,000-£45,000PermanentOffice based role HR Recruit is seeking an experienced HR professional to join a close-knit HR team within a national organisation. This role has responsibility for sites across the South West. Although based in Bristol, the position requires weekly travel to Cardiff and Exeter.Reporting to an HR Business Partner, you will work autonomously, managing your own diary and making day-to-day HR decisions. This is a broad generalist role, offering the opportunity to contribute to project work and coordinate key activities within larger organisational initiatives.Role ResponsibilitiesEstablish position as first point of contact for HR enquiries and provide timely and effective administrative support to the HR Business Partner and all business unit employeesSupport and coach line managers in delivering their line management responsibilities, including such areas as, absence – long and short term, occ. health input, management of poor performance of staffProvide effective administrative support to the business unit HR business partner, managing director and other functional heads of department as appropriate Assure compliance with legal and company policies and procedures and ensure the Company is protected against risk Provide HR support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective mannerManage the new joiner process from recruitment documentation through to joining instructions and inductionHandle maternity, paternity, adoption parental and other leave processes and queries Take ownership for the absence management systemManage the holiday recording systemProvide data for and prepare the monthly management information reports. Check accuracy and integrity of data by running reports to check. Follow up and correct where necessaryLiaise with development and training manager to discuss people issues within business unit and feedback to managers on development and training input which may support and assistBuild effective working relationships with internal service functions and management teamsPerson SpecificationMust hold a current UK driving licenseExperience in an industrial setting is an advantage.Qualified to minimum CIPD level 3 or equivalent Knowledge of employment law and best practice together with knowledge and understanding of how this is practically deliveredAbility to work in a team environment contributing across a project, site or areaGood management skills, with the ability to motivate self and colleagues to performGood planning and time management skills; able to manage activities simultaneously within compromising on standards and qualityThe salary is upto to £40,000 car or car allowance (Total package £45,000).
